ISO 45001 Lead Implementer

Why should you attend?

ISO 45001 is the first global Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard that replaces OHSAS 18001. The ISO 45001 Lead Implementer training enables you to develop the necessary expertise to support an organization in establishing, implementing, managing and maintaining an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OH&S MS) based on ISO 45001. During this training course, you will also gain a thorough understanding of the best practices of an OH&S MS and be able to apply them to continually improve the organization’s OH&S performance and ensure the well-being of employees by providing a safe and healthy workplace.

After mastering all the necessary concepts of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, you can sit for the exam and apply for a Certified ISO 45001 Lead Implementer credential. By holding a Lead Implementer Certificate, you will be able to demonstrate that you have the practical skills and professional knowledge to implement ISO 45001 in an organization.

Day 1: Introduction to ISO 45001 and initiation of an OH&S management system

Day 2: Plan the implementation of an OH&S management system

Day 3: Implementation of an OH&S management system

Day 4: OH&S management system monitoring, continuous improvement and preparation for a certification audit

Day 5: Certification Exam

Examination

The Certified ISO 45001 Lead Implementer exam fully meets the requirements of the Examination and Certification Programme (ECP). The exam covers the following competency domains:

Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OH&S MS)

Domain 2: Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OH&S MS)

Domain 3: Planning an OH&S MS implementation based on ISO 45001

Domain 4: Implementing an OH&S MS based on ISO 45001

Domain 5: Performance evaluation, monitoring and measurement of an OH&S MS based on ISO 45001

Domain 6: Continual improvement of an OH&S MS based on ISO 45001

Domain 7: Preparing for an OH&S MS certification audit

Certification

After successfully completing the exam, you can apply for the credentials shown in the table below. You will receive a certificate once you comply with all the requirements related to the selected credential. For more information about ISO 45001 certifications and the certification process, please refer to the Certification Rules and Policies.

The requirements for Implementer Certifications are:

Note: PECB Certified Individuals who do possess the Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor Credentials are qualified for the respective PECB Master Credential, given they have taken 4 additional Foundation Exams which are related to this scheme. To be considered valid, these implementation activities should follow best implementation practices and include the following activities:

  1. Drafting an OH&S MS plan
  2. Initiating an OH&S MS implementation
  3. Implementing an OH&S MS
  4. Monitoring and managing an OH&S MS implementation
  5. Performing continual improvement measures

General Information

  • Certification fees are included in the exam price
  • Training material containing over 450 pages of information and practical examples will be distributed
  • A participation certificate of 31 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits will be issued
  • In case of exam failure, you can retake the exam within 12 months free of charge
