The ISO 37101 Lead Implementer training course enables you to develop the necessary expertise to implement a management system for sustainable development in communities (MSSDC) based on ISO 37101, an international standard that aims at helping communities of all types and sizes become more sustainable and resilient. During this training course, you will gain a thorough understanding of the best practices used for the implementations of ISO management system standards in general, with a special emphasis on sustainable development as set out by the requirements of ISO 37101.
After mastering all the necessary concepts, techniques, and implementation approaches, you can sit for the exam and, if you successfully pass, you can apply for a Certified ISO 37101 Lead Implementer-credential. By holding this credential, you demonstrate that you have the practical knowledge and professional capabilities to help an organization implement an MSSDC that meets the requirements of ISO 37101 and you can help communities become more sustainable.
Participants attending this training course are required to have a general understanding of the ISO 37101 requirements, a general knowledge regarding the ISO management system standards, and the trends and approaches in sustainable development
Day 1: Introduction to ISO 37101 and initiation of an MSSDC
Day 2: Planning the implementation of an MSSDC
Day 3: Implementation of an MSSDC
Day 4: MSSDC monitoring, continual improvement, and preparation for the certification audit
Day 5: Certification exam
The Certified ISO 37101 Lead Implementer exam complies with the Examination and Certification Program (ECP) requirements. The exam covers the following competency domains:
Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of a management system for sustainable development in communities (MSSDC)
Domain 2: Management system for sustainable development in communities (MSSDC)
Domain 3: Planning an MSSDC implementation based on ISO 37101
Domain 4: Implementing an MSSDC based on ISO 37101
Domain 5: Performance evaluation, monitoring, and measurement of an MSSDC based on ISO 37101
Domain 6: Continual improvement of an MSSDC based on ISO 37101
Domain 7: Preparing for an MSSDC certification audit
In case candidates fail the exam, they can retake the exam within twelve months following the initial exam for free.

After successfully passing the exam, you can apply for the credentials shown on the table below. You will receive the certificate once you comply with all the requirements related to the selected credential. Certification fees are included in the exam price.

Note: Certified Individuals who do possess the Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor Credentials are qualified for the respective PECB Master Credential, given they have taken 4 additional Foundation Exams which are related to this scheme.
